PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov 02, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Building on its successful, long-term relationship with the Swedish subsidiary (formerly SWE-DISH Satellite Systems) of Rockwell Collins (NYSE: COL), Communications & Power Industries, Inc. (CPI) continues to support the SWE-DISH CommuniCase(R) Technology (CCT) and SWE-DISH IPT Suitcase(R) product lines. Recently, CPI was awarded five orders totaling $2.7 million to provide high-power, solid-state amplifiers to be delivered by early 2010 for these small, broadband satellite communication terminals. CPI, a subsidiary of CPI International, Inc. (Nasdaq: CPII), is a leading provider of microwave, radio frequency, power and control solutions for critical defense, communications, medical, scientific and other applications.
CommuniCase Technology is based on a common modular architecture, enabling users to easily switch out and plug in standard modems, amplifiers and other transmission and auxiliary components to create more than 450 different configurations. This interchangeability provides users with a cost-effective and very high degree of operational flexibility.
